Acrylic on Paper, 30cm x 42cm
Embarking the journey as an Expressive-Arts-Therapist-to-be, this is my favorite 5-min finger painting. It came first with dots and chaos without any direction, any images in my mind. However, when the dots and shapes are linked meaningfully, it made a beautiful picture that I had never expected. The kind of texture that made you amazed.
Many times we are so careful to plan our future and stressed about our current situations, we miss a bigger picture, maybe with a higher purpose that only God knows. The art making process actually reminds me what Steve Jobs once said, 'You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.'
Slow down, take time, He the Lord would reveal what's to come.
Haha, I guess this is what we talk about in therapy as the creative connection.
